Product Overview

This premium-grade Biluochun is harvested in early spring 2025, just before the Qingming Festival, from the renowned Dongting Mountain region in Suzhou, China. Made exclusively from tender young buds, it embodies the elegance of traditional Chinese green tea. The dry leaves are tightly rolled into delicate spirals, covered in fine silvery hairs, with a vibrant jade-green sheen. With a legacy tracing back to the Tang dynasty, Biluochun is treasured for its beautiful appearance, fragrant aroma, and mellow taste. Hand-rolled and processed with low-temperature pan-firing, this tea preserves the essence of the fresh leaves. Once brewed, the tea reveals a crystal-clear liquor and unfurls gracefully in the cup, offering both visual and sensory delight.

Taste & Aroma

Biluochun is renowned for its natural floral and fruity fragrance. Upon brewing, this tea releases a refreshing aroma reminiscent of wildflowers and white fruit blossoms. The taste is crisp and brisk, with a light astringency that quickly gives way to a lingering sweetness. Each sip unveils layers of freshness and depth, from grassy undertones to soft fruit notes. The liquor is smooth and clean, leaving a gentle sweetness on the tongue and a soothing sensation in the throat. Refined and aromatic, this tea is perfect for slow appreciation and mindful sipping.

Health Benefits

As a non-fermented green tea, Biluochun is rich in natural antioxidants such as catechins, tea polyphenols, chlorophyll, and vitamin C. These compounds are known to help combat free radicals, support cellular health, and slow signs of aging. It may also aid digestion, freshen breath, and provide a gentle caffeine lift without overstimulation — making it a great beverage for mental clarity and daily refreshment. In traditional Chinese health theory, green tea is considered cooling in nature, helping to clear internal heat and soothe the throat. It is especially suitable for warm seasons or for individuals with a warm body constitution.

Brewing Guide

To fully appreciate the fragrance and delicacy of Biluochun, a glass or porcelain cup is recommended. Follow these steps for optimal flavor:

  • Tea-to-Water Ratio: 2–3g per 150ml (5 oz) of water
  • Water Temperature: Around 80°C (176°F) to avoid scalding the tender buds
  • Brewing Method:
    • Pour water first, then add tea leaves — this helps protect the aroma and allows the leaves to gently sink
    • Gently swirl the cup to encourage even unfolding of the leaves
    • Steep the first two infusions for 30–60 seconds; extend steeping time for later rounds
  • Re-steeping: Suitable for 3–4 infusions, with lingering sweetness and aroma
  • Recommended Vessels: Use a transparent glass cup or gaiwan to enjoy the dancing leaves as they bloom in the water
