Product Overview
This Que She green tea is hand-harvested before the Qingming Festival in spring 2025 from high-altitude tea gardens in Zunyi, Guizhou Province. Named for its resemblance to a sparrow’s tongue, Que She is a rare bud-type green tea known for its short, straight, and elegant shape. The dry leaves are uniformly slender and glossy, with a bright emerald hue and subtle silver fuzz. As an early spring tea made from only the most tender shoots, it is prized for its freshness, delicacy, and limited production. Ideal for tea connoisseurs and seasonal gifting, Que She represents refinement in both form and flavor.
Taste & Aroma
Upon brewing, Que She releases a fresh, uplifting aroma with delicate floral and bean-like notes. The liquor is bright yellow-green and remarkably clear. On the palate, it is smooth and gentle, with a brisk freshness and a sweet, lingering aftertaste. The buds stand upright in the glass like tiny birds poised in water, offering both a visual and sensory experience. The overall taste is clean, elegant, and free from bitterness or harshness, perfect for those who appreciate subtlety and purity in green tea.
Health Benefits
As a tender bud-only green tea, Que She is rich in amino acids, polyphenols, chlorophyll, and vitamin C. These compounds contribute to its antioxidant effects and may help reduce internal heat, improve focus, and support metabolism. Cooling but not overly cold in nature, it is suitable for spring and summer drinking or for individuals with a warm constitution. With regular and moderate consumption, Que She may help relieve fatigue, freshen breath, and support digestive wellness, making it both a luxurious and health-conscious choice.
Brewing Guide
Due to its delicate bud structure, Que She should be brewed gently at lower temperatures to preserve its flavor and shape. Recommended method:
- Tea-to-Water Ratio: Use 2–3g of tea for 150ml (5 oz) of water
- Water Temperature: 75°C to 80°C (167–176°F) to avoid scorching the tender buds
-
Brewing Method:
- Use a glass cup and pour water first, then add the tea for a graceful sinking effect
- Steep the first infusion for 40–50 seconds; for the second, extend by about 10 seconds
- Refill slowly along the side of the glass to maintain the upright display of buds
- Re-steeping: Suitable for 3 to 4 infusions with a sustained light aroma and fresh taste
- Recommended Vessels: A tall, clear glass is ideal to showcase the upright form of the buds as they bloom
